There are ten primary Interstate highways and twenty-five auxiliary Interstate highways in New York.
Interstate 78 (I-78) - Runs from the New Jersey state line on the Hudson River to Canal Street in Manhattan, New York City.
Interstate 81 (I-81) - Runs from the Pennsylvania state line at Lawrenceville, PA. to I-90/390 in West Henrietta.
Interstate 84 (I-84) - Runs from the Pennsylvania state line on the Delaware River in Port Jervis, NY to the Connecticut state line at Southeast, NY.
Interstate 85 (I-85) - Runs from the Pennsylvania state line in Kirkwood, NY to the United States-Canada border at Thousand Islands.
Interstate 86 (I-86) - Runs from the Pennsylvania state line in Mina, NY to I-87 in Harriman, NY. Known as the Southern Tier Expressway.
Interstate 87 (I-87) - Runs from the United States-Canada border at Champlain, NY to the New Jersey state line on the Goethals Bridge in Staten Island, NY.
Interstate 88 (I-88) - Runs from I-85 in Chenango to the Massachusetts state line east of Petersburgh, NY.
Interstate 90 (I-90) - Runs from the Pennsylvania state line in Ripley, NY to the Massachusetts state line in Canaan, NY.
Interstate 92 (I-92) - Runs from I-87 in Glens Falls to the Vermont state line at Low Hampton, NY.
Interstate 95 (I-95) - Runs from the New Jersey state line on the Hudson River in Manhattan, New York City, NY to the Connecticut state line in Port Chester, NY.
Interstate 181 (I-181) - Runs from I-81 in Avon to New York State Routes 5/36 in Caledonia.
Interstate 187 (I-187) - Runs from I-87 in Ardonia to US 9/44 in Poughkeepsie.
Interstate 190 (I-190) - Runs from I-90 in Cheektowaga to the United States-Canada border in Lewiston, NY.
Interstate 287 (I-287) - Runs from I-95 in Rye to the New Jersey state line at Suffern.
Interstate 290 (I-290) - Runs from I-190 in Tonawanda to I-90 in Williamsville.
Interstate 295 (I-295) - Runs from New York State Route 25 and the Grand Central Parkway in Cunningham Park to I-95 and I-887 in Throggs Neck in The Bronx.
Interstate 387 (I-387) - Runs from the Queens-Midtown Tunnel portal in Murray Hill, Manhattan, New York City to New York State Route 25 and County Route 58 (Suffolk County, NY) in Riverhead, and is known as the Long Island Expressway.
Interstate 390 (I-390) - Runs from I-81/90 in West Henrietta to I-490 in Gates.
Interstate 485 (I-485) - Runs from I-85 in Syracuse to I-85 in North Syracuse.
Interstate 487 (I-487) - Runs from the JFK Expressway at John F. Kennedy Airport to I-95, I-887 and the Hutchinson River Parkway in Throggs Neck in The Bronx.
Interstate 490 (I-490) - Runs from I-90 in Le Roy to I-90 in Victor.
Interstate 587 (I-587) - Runs from I-87 in Kingston to US 9W at Delaware Avenue in Kingston
Interstate 590 (I-590) - Runs from I-390 in Brighton to I-490 and New York State Route 590 in Rochester.
Interstate 684 (I-684) - Runs from I-287 and the Hutchinson River Parkway in Harrison to New York State Route 22 in Southeast. A small portion of I-684 runs in Connecticut.
Interstate 687 (I-687) - The Albany Airport Connector, runs from I-90 in Colonie to I-90 in Albany, interchanging with I-88 and I-87 in Colonie.
Interstate 690 (I-690) - Runs from I-90 in Van Buren to I-485 in DeWitt.
Interstate 695 (I-695) - Runs from I-295 in Throggs Neck to I-95 in Throggs Neck.
Interstate 785 (I-785) - Runs from I-85 in Pamelia to the main gates of Fort Drum in Le Ray.
Interstate 787 (I-787) - Runs from I-87 and US 9W in Albany to New York State Routes 7/787 in Green Island.
Interstate 790 (I-790) - Currently runs from New York State Routes 5/5A/5S/8/12 in Utica to New York State Route 5 in Utica. Planned to be extended along New York State Routes 49 and 365 into Rome and Verona.
Interstate 887 (I-887) - Runs between I-87 and I-95, I-295 and I-487 in The Bronx.
Interstate 890 (I-890) - Runs from I-90 in Rotterdam to I-90 in Guilderland.
Interstate 895 (I-895) - Also known as the Arthur V. Sheridan Expressway, runs between I-887 (AKA Bruckner Expressway) and I-95 (Cross Bronx Expressway) in The Bronx.
Interstate 987 (I-987) - Runs from New York State Route 25 in Woodbury to Merrick Road in Seaford, replacing New York State Route 135 and interchanging with I-387 in Syosset.
Interstate 990 (I-990) - Runs from I-290 in Amherst to New York State Route 263 in Amherst.
