Interstate Highways in California

 

Shields for California's primary and auxiliary Interstate highways.

There are eight primary Interstate highways and twenty-three auxiliary Interstate highways in California.

Interstate 5 (I-5) - Runs from the United States-Mexico border in San Ysidro, San Diego to the Oregon state line.

Interstate 8 (I-8) - Runs from Nimitz Boulevard and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in San Diego to the Arizona state line.

Interstate 9 (I-9) - Runs from I-5 at Wheeler Ridge to the Oregon state line north of Dorris, CA.

Interstate 10 (I-10) - Runs from California State Route 1 in Santa Monica to the Arizona state line.

Interstate 15 (I-15) - Runs from I-5 in San Diego to the Nevada state line in Primm, NV.

Interstate 40 (I-40) - Runs from I-5 just west of Bakersfield to the Arizona state line.

Interstate 70 (I-70) - Runs from I-5 nearby La Jolla Ranch (west of Fresno) to the Nevada nearby Sylvania, NV.

Interstate 80 (I-80) - Runs from US 101 in San Francisco to the Nevada state line.

Interstate 105 (I-105) - Runs from California State Route 1 in El Segundo to I-605 in Norwalk.

Interstate 110 (I-110) - Runs from California State Route 47 in San Pedro to I-10 in Los Angeles.

Interstate 180 (I-180) - A spur of I-80 that connects Whitney and Lincoln to I-80.

Interstate 205 (I-205) - Runs from I-580 near Tracy to I-5 near Manteca.

Interstate 210 (I-210) - Runs from I-5 in Los Angeles to I-10 in Redlands.

Interstate 215 (I-215) - Runs from I-15 in Murrieta to I-15 in San Bernardino.

Interstate 270 (I-270) - A three-quarter beltway of Fresno that intersects with I-70 in Clotho and Rolinda, and I-9 in Malaga and Herndon.

Interstate 280 (I-280) - Runs from I-680 and US 101 in San Jose to King and 5th Streets in San Francisco.

Interstate 305 (I-305) - Runs from I-80 in West Sacramento to Sunrise Boulevard in Sacramento. Also known as the El Dorado Freeway.

Interstate 380 (I-380) - Runs from I-280 in San Bruno to I-880 in San Lorenzo, and crosses the Senator Dianne Feinstein Southern Crossing across San Francisco Bay.

Interstate 405 (I-405) - Runs from I-5 in Irvine to I-5 near San Fernando.

Interstate 440 (I-440) - A bypass of Bakersfield that runs from I-40 in Stockdale West to I-40 in Edison.

Interstate 480 (I-480) - Runs from I-580 in Castro Valley to I-880 in San Leandro.

Interstate 505 (I-505) - Runs from I-80 in Vacaville to I-5 near Dunnigan.

Interstate 580 (I-580) - Runs from US 101 in San Rafael to I-5 near Tracy.

Interstate 605 (I-605) - Runs from I-405 and California State Route 22 in Seal Beach to I-210 in Irwindale.

Interstate 680 (I-680) - Runs from I-280 and US 101 in San Jose to I-80 in Fairfield.

Interstate 710 (I-710) - Runs from California State Route 47 in Long Beach to I-210 in Pasadena.

Interstate 780 (I-780) - Runs from I-80 in Vallejo to I-680 in Benicia.

Interstate 805 (I-805) - Runs from I-5 in San Ysidro, San Diego to I-5 in Sorrento Valley, San Diego.

Interstate 880 (I-880) - Runs from I-280 and California State Route 17 in San Jose to I-80/580 in Oakland.

Interstate 905 (I-905) - Runs from I-5 in San Diego to the United States-Mexico border near Otay Mesa.

Interstate 980 (I-980) - Runs from I-880 in Oakland to I-580 and California State Route 24 in Oakland.
